Levante – Rayo Vallecano Prediction (19.10.2025)

Levante return to La Liga action on Sunday looking to continue their impressive recent form when they welcome Rayo Vallecano to the Estadi Ciutat de València. Both sides have identical league records — two wins, two draws and four defeats — but Levante have been far more entertaining, scoring 13 goals while conceding 14.

Julian Calero’s team entered the international break on a high, following a 2–0 victory over Real Oviedo, and have now lost just one of their last five league matches. The reigning Segunda Division champions are adapting well to life back in the top flight and are hoping to build momentum as they aim to secure successive seasons in La Liga for the first time since 2022.

The standout player for Levante so far has been Karl Etta Eyong, who has scored four goals in five appearances since joining from Villarreal. The 20-year-old is already attracting attention from Europe’s elite clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester United, and will again be key to Levante’s attacking threat.

Levante also boast a strong record against Rayo, having gone three games unbeaten in this fixture and winning 15 of the previous 38 meetings overall. Their last home defeat to the visitors came more than a decade ago, in September 2014.

Rayo aiming to build on pre-break win

Rayo Vallecano, meanwhile, are hoping to follow up their 1–0 victory over Real Sociedad before the break — their first La Liga win since mid-August. That result lifted them to 14th place, and while their start has been mixed, they remain just five points off fifth spot, highlighting how tight the league table currently is.

Under Inigo Pérez, Rayo have shown flashes of their attacking potential, with Álvaro García leading the way with five goals and Jorge de Frutos adding three more. However, the visitors have been inconsistent on the road, losing heavily in recent weeks and struggling to convert chances.

Rayo’s squad remains stretched, with Sergio Camello suspended and both Abdul Mumin and Luiz Felipe injured, though García is expected to overcome a minor knock to start.

Prediction

Levante’s home momentum, combined with Eyong’s electric form and Rayo’s travel difficulties, makes the hosts slight favourites. The game could be close, but the Frogs should have enough quality to edge it.
