Gaziantep’s transformation under Burak Yilmaz has been one of the most impressive stories of the Turkish Super Lig season so far. After a disastrous start, the rookie coach has sparked a revival, guiding his side to five wins and two draws in seven games, lifting them to fourth place in the standings.
However, this resurgence has come with a heavy dose of chaos. The Falcons are one of the league’s most entertaining sides — scoring 15 goals but also conceding 14, the worst defensive record among the top-half teams. Matches involving Gaziantep rarely lack drama; they’ve already seen three games finish with four or more goals, including two 3-2 wins and a 2-2 draw.
While their front line led by Kacper Kozlowski and Alexandru Maxim continues to shine, Yilmaz’s side remain vulnerable at the back — a weakness that could be ruthlessly exposed by Fenerbahce’s clinical attack.
Fenerbahce’s unbeaten run tested again
Under new coach Domenico Tedesco, Fenerbahce are unbeaten in the league but have been held to too many draws recently. Sitting third in the table, the Yellow Canaries are eager to maintain pressure on leaders Galatasaray.
Despite their recent stalemates, Fener remain potent in attack with Youssef En-Nesyri, Anderson Talisca, and Marco Asensio forming a dangerous trio. Their record against Gaziantep is dominant — nine consecutive wins since 2021 — and they’ve scored at least two goals in six of those meetings.
Still, Fener’s tendency to draw away (three in four road games) could make this an open encounter, especially against a fearless Gaziantep side that prefers to attack rather than sit deep.
Prediction
Both teams have firepower and defensive flaws, a recipe for goals. Expect an end-to-end battle where either side could find the net multiple times.
Predicted Score: Gaziantep 2–3 Fenerbahce
Betting Tip: Over 2.5 Goals
