Gaziantep’s transformation under Burak Yilmaz has been one of the most impressive stories of the Turkish Super Lig season so far. After a disastrous start, the rookie coach has sparked a revival, guiding his side to five wins and two draws in seven games, lifting them to fourth place in the standings.
However, this resurgence has come with a heavy dose of chaos. The Falcons are one of the league’s most entertaining sides — scoring 15 goals but also conceding 14, the worst defensive record among the top-half teams. Matches involving Gaziantep rarely lack drama; they’ve already seen three games finish with four or more goals, including two 3-2 wins and a 2-2 draw.
While their front line led by Kacper Kozlowski and Alexandru Maxim continues to shine, Yilmaz’s side remain vulnerable at the back — a weakness that could be ruthlessly exposed by Fenerbahce’s clinical attack.
Fenerbahce’s unbeaten run tested again
