AC Milan are flying high under returning coach Massimiliano Allegri, remaining unbeaten in seven consecutive matches across all competitions. Their impressive start to the Serie A season sees them sitting near the top of the table with 16 points from eight games, following a thrilling 2–1 comeback victory over Fiorentina last weekend.
Once again, Rafael Leão was the hero — his two second-half goals turned the match around, ending a 17-month goal drought at San Siro and reaffirming his importance to the Rossoneri. Despite several injury absences, Allegri’s side continues to show both resilience and attacking flair.
With Luka Modrić orchestrating play in midfield and Leão leading the line, Milan look sharp and confident, particularly at home, where they’ve now claimed three straight wins. Having already beaten Bologna, Napoli and Fiorentina, they’ll be expected to make it four in a row against struggling Pisa.
Pisa fighting to survive
For newly promoted Pisa, life in Serie A has been harsh. Alberto Gilardino’s men have endured a nightmare start, sitting bottom of the table with just three points and three goals from their opening six games — the worst start in the club’s top-flight history.
While they managed a goalless draw against Hellas Verona last time out, their attack remains toothless, and they’ve lost two of their first three away fixtures, conceding eight goals in the process.
History offers little comfort: Pisa have never beaten Milan in Serie A, losing 10 of their 12 meetings and failing to score in nine of them. Given Milan’s quality and home form, an upset looks extremely unlikely.
Prediction
Expect another composed display from Allegri’s side. Milan should dominate possession, create plenty of chances, and continue their winning streak at San Siro. Pisa may defend deep but are unlikely to resist for long.
Predicted score: AC Milan 3–0 Pisa
Tip: 1 and Over 1.5 goals
